Jai Krishan Singh Rouri, Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, has recently launched a ₹2.15 crore road project in Mahilpur, located in the Garhshankar subdivision. The new roads aim to improve local transport and help farmers and traders by making it easier to move goods.
Rouri called the road project a major step towards "overall development" for Mahilpur. He added that it will help farmers, traders, and local residents, boosting both the economy and the community.
Rouri shared, "This project will improve travel and trade, helping the region grow. The Punjab Government is committed to providing better infrastructure for everyone."
The Punjab Government’s development plan goes beyond roads. Investments are also being made in key services like water supply, healthcare, and education to help Garhshankar grow in all areas. The new road project is a sign of the government's commitment to turning the area into a model of progress.
